Use of Cobra yeast in beer kits.
Came across many canned beer kits ( 5 ales + 4 cider ) plus a few other slightly bloated tins which I've discarded. All are well beyond Best Before Dates so wondered whether using the cheap 'high octane 'yeast advertised online would work. Obviously don't want to be poisoned but wonder what...- werbemoh

Can A starter double the yeast cell count?
Just checking Made up a starter for the 'MYO Irish Stout kit 40 x 500 Ml' (The Range) by dissolving 200Mg Muntons dark DME into 2 litres of boiling water .When cooled to 62F, sprinkled in the yeast (7 grams ? that came with the kit),capped the jug with aluminium foil and stir plated the mix...- werbemoh

Simple strategies for dealing with stuck fermentations
Getting into the homebrew hobby after being given an out of date tin of Coopers Stout .The date had expired by a few years but on opening the tin the 'treacle' looked good with no nasty smell etc, but after mixing ,as per the instructions, a kilo of (demerrera) sugar and sprinkling in the yeast...- werbemoh
