Hoppy beers. Never taste fresh or fruity like commercial

Not much to add but agree with Northern re Scott Janish blog, he has a book too. He covers both WestCoast and NEIPA styles and is very detailed re all aspects of the process. Plenty to go at but identifying exactly what you want to create from the outset should make the goal more achievable. The...

Will a fermzilla fit in a fridge

Assuming when brewing NEIPA the hot side hops are c80C hop-stand and the majority added as dry-hop, main advantages of the butterfly dump valve is the ability to CO2 flush and add dry hop with minimal oxygen ingress? Also there's quite a lot of interesting research re relationship between...

FWIW I pitched x1 pkt of Lallemand Voss to 23L 1058 wort @32C and it finished and dropped in 3 days. Brutal stuff. No nutrient added. Dried out the yeast cake and have made x2 subsequent brews from that too. Plenty of info out there in relation to Kveik, both the, cleaned up, commercially...

Best value hops for tropical juicy ipa

Check out Michael Tonsmeire and Scott Janish. They have looked at what they describe as 'cheater and cheaper ' hops to maximise/mimic flavour from the more expensive hop varietals. https://www.themadfermentationist.com/2017/09/citra-galaxy-neipa-bioconversion.html

    What are you drinking tonight.

Agree re the CW West Coast Pale. Their drinks are generally of much better quality. How was the DDH Pale?

First brew day in a while - NEIPA type thing

FWIW there is some interesting discussion around hops for NE style with Michael Tonsmeire at the Mad Fermentationist https://www.themadfermentationist.com/2017/09/citra-galaxy-neipa-bioconversion.html

    Verdant Putty

Would agree with London III...worked best for NE style brews I've done. Tried the lallemand NE dried too but didn't rate that as much although quite a few commercial breweries seem to be using it.
