How does the maxi biab work? I thought with BIAB you used all of the water up front in the mash.

Great! :thumb: I'm still thinking about my setup, but I think its going to be a thermopot with an element at the bottom, false bottom to keep the bag & grain off the element, and maybe a small pump re-circulating wort from the bottom of the pot to the top. (still at the idea stage!)

My Angram looked an absolute mess, so I completely stripped it down to give it a good clean. Can you see the glass cylinder? It might be covered by insulation/protection. If you can get a look at it you'll be able to see if its full of gunk or not.

remember you can always move up to doing extract brews without too much outlay. This will let you brew great beer whilst having control over your recipes.

if you want to go under counter, then you'll need a larder fridge. I've got a hotpoint rla36, and found THIS thread to be very useful. The hotpoint larder fridges are good, as the shape of the compressor is a bit better to fit things around than other fridges. Not sure if it would be tall...

I've had a look Buster, and I don't have a drain hole. I've realised that I can get 3/16 beer line throuugh the seal OK. Would there be any issues with stepping down the gas line to 3/16 to go through the door? I'm guessing this will restrict the pressure somehow :? I can have a juggle...
