all in one systems but no easy water source

hose for the chiller is fine just not to fill the with water for the boil.

all in one systems but no easy water source

I wouldn't use a hose to fill the system for the wort only the chiller, hose pipes just seem so unsanitary. don't mind lugging about buckets, that's what I'm currently doing anyway moving from the kitchen to the garage.

all in one systems but no easy water source

I was worried about the steam but read that the grainfather was one of the better ones for producing least steam and found several people saying they did theirs in their garage with the garage door open and no issues

all in one systems but no easy water source

would a no chill work? would you just skip the chill and let it cool naturally? the garden hose option, would it connect easily to a garden hose? if so that's the simplest option surely - for

all in one systems but no easy water source

Hi, I am looking into getting an all in one system that I would use in my garage which has electric but doesn't have a sink or any water source, I have an out side water tap about 20m away and I have brewing buckets I could use to move water from the kitchen to the garage. I probably would of...

Sanitising - How anal about it are you?

on my current brew I spent the usual 45 mins or so rinsing the bottles in sanitizer once dry putting them in boxes to take to the garage only this time made the stupid decision to carry two boxes stacked on top of the other so the clean bottle tops in the bottom box had the dirty box resting on...

hops for summer fruit IPA Kit Tweek

Hi, so just to start I know how some feel about a fruity beers and everything but I had really good feedback from my Peach and Raspberry IPA so I just put on a new IPA in time for summer and will add summer fruits after primary fermentation. I will also dry hop at this stage and looking for...

    Maple Syrup in a Brew

    Maple Syrup in a Brew

That's the exact recipe I'm using as inspiration , that's pretty much what I'm going to do but with the changing some of the pure maple for sugar free in the hope that this will add flavor without it being all fermented out.

    Maple Syrup in a Brew

I was going to add 180ml maple to the wart (20L) with 500g light spray malt 10 days in primary then add 180ml maple and 400ml of the sugar free maple. Plus 50ml real maple with the priming sugar before bottling after adjusting the sugar amount to accommodate.

    Maple Syrup in a Brew

thanks for the advice , I plan to add half of the real maple syrup in the wort and add the other half plus the sugar free after 10 days ferment. I will also add a little when mixing in the priming sugar. Good plan?

    Maple Syrup in a Brew

thanks again, I'm looking to add the maple flavored syrup too as the real stuff will just ferment out (though I will also put some real in to ferment with). gonna give it a go with in a wee heavy.

    Maple Syrup in a Brew

thank you for the reply how much did you add? are you saying it didn't add any taste only some color?

    Maple Syrup in a Brew

as read on a few threads on maple syrup the flavor is hard to detect as the sugar in the syrup ferments out, so I'm thinking about using some real maple syrup and a zero sugar such as this one www.amazon.co.uk/Zero-Calorie-Syrups-Maple-400 worried it may taste a bit artificial though, thoughts?

    youngs heavy kit

Hi, has anyone brewed using this kit? wondering if there were any tweaks you did and what the outcome was. I normally add extra hops, change the yeast or add fruit or something to cans but not sure what you would add to a heavy? not normally very hoppy and not sure what fruit would work.

kits that produce the lightest colour beer

thanks for the answers , the reason I want a light color is when adding fruit it would be good to transfer some of that color to the final beer. so when I make a raspberry and peach beer it would have a slight blush color . the Coopers Canadian Blonde - is that a lager? if so doesn't that need...
