I don't know exactly how many as it's the first one. If your free, why not come along, I'll be bringing one of my brews for people to try. Will be fairly informal. I think Brewdog are planning to make this a feature in all their bars. DirtyC

A hello and a showcase of my first solo AG brew

Gonna be a bit flat mate. I would siphon off to bottling bucket and simmer 80g sugar in a little water. Then chuck it in bucket then bottle. Or do half and half. Up to you

A hello and a showcase of my first solo AG brew

Hi mate, Personally I would bottle it. How many litres do you have? A polypin is an idea but really, you want a hand pump for it. DirtyC

    Another Buffalo problem

I hear what your saying. But my sparky pal points out that there is a fuse in the plug, so if it were to go **** up, then there's the safety net. Mine works better without, I think. Just my opinion though, please don't feck about with leccy if you don't know what your doing... DirtyC

Removing mold or yeast in beer

Just let them settle out. Don't bother filtering, likely to introduce oxygen into beer and risk oxidation.

    Another Buffalo problem

To be honest, mine works fine with the thermal cut out left in and no thermofuse. I just crank it up to 110 for a nice continuos rolling boil, sometimes cuts out for a few seconds, that is all.

    Another Buffalo problem

No it doesn't change the appearance of the shrink. If the boiler is switched on and the LED is not lit, then good chance it's the fuse. Strip back the shrink and locate the small fuse. It should be held between 2 crimps. Chop it off and leave the crimps connected. These can be connected...

Removing mold or yeast in beer

Probably just trub. Taste it, if it tastes ok then it's fine. Definately don't boil it!
