Just finished 2 gallons of red grape juice at 10% abv-finished at 0.998. Now in a 10 ltr plastic dispensing [bag in box ] Its about 8 weeks old and is starting to have quite a nice flavour. Think it will need a few more months yet. I have 5 ltrs of Waitrose merlot grape juice in the fridge -...

    Bottled Vieux Chateau du Roi

Well...2 x 1.5ltr apple juice , 1.5 ltr grape juice and 1.5 ltr pineapple juice. Fermented out to about 8% [ its for the Boss ] and that what she likes. After 8 weeks still a little thin - so a little sweetening and it tastes just fine with better body. I will have to make some more.

    BelVino Australian Red kit

Interestingly I find this a good %age for a wine to be consumed within 6 to 8 weeks of finishing:cool:, seems to be a little smoother. Her indoors also prefers the %age to be around 8% for an easy drinking wine....with a little back sweetening 6-8 weeks gives a nice little drink...at least the...

The Range Store - Make Your Own Red Wine Kit.

This is a very saddening thread... asad1asad1 ......I am in Twickenham - and miles from any range store - unless I wish to increase the per bottle price to exorbitant values with petrol and parking. Oh well back to the [ just finished ] 2 gallons of red made from 100% Waitrose grape juice. At 7...
