Hi, any update on the keg? Despite having cornies, for some reason i am just tempted to get king keg as well. It is beyond me why would I want this... lots of issues etc. But whenever I hear someone gets them to behave I am like .... I need this keg 😀

Does this new hop filter works fine with older malt pipe?

I think there are those newer plates without silicone and they are much cheaper than the pipe.... so that would solve the silicone issue. :)

Would steam and temperature at this point sanitise remaining space? Also, do you drop wort temp to something like 95 before transferring to the cube or as soon as the boil is over?

That is a cool thing. Not sure about the shipping though 🤔 I think malt miller had 23 l corny at one time.... I really like the idea of steel cos you can ferment in the room/kitchen with no worry about the indirect light.... but... you cannot see fermentation magic ✨️ happening

What happened to the Pinter? I saw couple on sale for cheap recently. I would first decide whether you want to go steel or plastic. That gonna narrow in my opinion the search. Do you want see the fermentation happening or not really.... If you had Pinter probably something around 10litres? How...

Along what @Empty bottle says.... my variation is to have a pint or two of a good one first.... then have another one... the less ideal. Usually by that time it ain't that bad.😀 Another thing I did was to bottle it and forget it... after a while it gets better.

Totally... that makes sense. I suppose it's better to have it and not need it than the other way around. Without it keg of starsan could be wasted.... well maybe.... 😀 that is cheap and effective way. What was the max psi you could achieve?

Oh Yeah.... pulling prv would solve the issue with starsan. Would a 3rd mini keg before the starsan keg be a good idea? I am thinking here as a filter kind a thing as well as collecting vessel. If krausen were to get into the top and through the fittings etc....

Do you worry about any starsan that's left in keg once its filled with co2? Sure its not much but still.... 🤔

I think you may find that there are already taps that connect to the ball lock connect and that goes straight on the post. There are also ball lock flow control connects where you have some control of the flow right on the post. That could be cheaper than the entire tap etc. and not 100% sure...

I've had all sorts of issues with a picnic tap due to all various reasons. I think switching to something like a flow control tap helped to the point where I can fully enjoy kegging 😀 also, not sure what works for others but I drop pressure to around 5 - 8 psi for pouring. Not sure if that's...
