    Varifocals

Specsavers, they have various levels of lenses and it does make a big difference if you go with the best lens they do, the middle area is still narrower than I would like but it much wider than with the cheaper lens option. I spent over £300 but I did get 2 pair for that.

    Varifocals

When I first had Varifocal lenses I couldn't get on with them so returned them but then recently I tried them again but purchased the top lenses rather than the middle of the road ones and they are much better. The biggest issue I have is with the mid distance area of the lenses is very narrow...

    Alternatives to Keezers/Kegerators??

I plan to have 4 or 5 beers on at any one time and also maybe a hard seltzer. If the chillers are a hassle I will just go with a keezer but I thought before I spent the money I should consider the alternatives. I have seen something about chilling the kegs with tubes wrapped around them but I...

    Alternatives to Keezers/Kegerators??

Hi All, I am nearly ready to take the plunge and buy some kegs and a way to cool them. They are going to live outside under my covered pergola where I am building an outdoor kitchen. I was planning on hiding a Keezer behind a partition wall and mounting the taps on the wall but I am wondering...

    Wine kit value for money

That sounds promising. I mean I don't think I have ever spent more than £15 for a bottle of wine outside of a restaurant and I think when it comes to wine that there can be a bit of snobbery. I have had some surprisingly good wines for less than £5 so I try to to gauge wine on price.

    Wine kit value for money

I would have to find elderberries but I will certainly keep my out out next year and will definitely be collecting blackberry next year. In the mean time I just want to get something decent made.

    Wine kit value for money

I have been searching for a good Red Wine kit to start with and came across this thread but I have to say I am a little disappointed with the consensus that Red Wine Kits aren't great. The Wine Skin idea seems good and I am wondering if anyone is drinking one of these yet and if you feel it has...

First brew in 4 years, help me out?

I wouldn't mind but but social distancing and all that. Besides you would have a ways to come.

First brew in 4 years, help me out?

Well 40 is enough for the first brew but I will get more.

First brew in 4 years, help me out?

Hey all, I have finally settled on buying a BrewDevil 50L from AHB, just waiting for the shop to reopen tomorrow. In the meantime I need to get everything else ready for my first brew. As I am unfamiliar with the All In One systems I am wondering do I want to order a normal Crush or a Fine...

    Fast food litter

Sure offending businesses, what offence did they perpetrate? Selling fast food to lowlifes?

    Fast food litter

If ford (and the rest) didn't make cars nobody would die in road accidents, should they be responsible for all traffic deaths?
  14. Keith W

    Fast food litter

But why is it the businesses responsibility?
  15. Keith W

    Fast food litter

That doesn't answer the question as to why these specific businesses should be targeted in this way.
  16. Keith W

    Fast food litter

You are still targeting specific businesses. Why should only those with drive thrus be forced to spend hundreds or thousands of pounds to combat something which is not their fault? It's the public that are the problem not the businesses.

    Fast food litter

You cannot just target specific businesses with legislation. This would have to a blanket law that covered every business that sells prepared food to go in disposable packaging. Every curry restaurant, every fish and chips shop every small coffee shop etc. Where does it end?

    Fast food litter

What about all the other litter, there are 1000 times more things thrown out than from fast food places. This would be like a drop in the ocean.

    Fast food litter

Imagine the fun teenagers would have pulling packages out of McDonald's bins and scattering them to get the original purchaser fined.

    Getting back into Brewing

I assume they are just very busy with loads of orders due to people staying at home and wanting something to do. I see they keep putting sales on hold so they can catch up, I don't want to add to that so I can just wait for a reply. I am not in a great rush to buy yet as I have to get other...
