    Carbing

Hey Guys, bottled a Lager on Monday and used a Carbing Drop for each bottle……..when will I start seeing some action? So far the bottles aren’t starting to firm up or anything so am getting a bit worried. Was hoping to have Drinkable Beer for Xmas

    “Lively” Coopers Brew

Hey all, so this is my first Brew after taking a bit of a long break. When I was brewing in the past I had an FV without a hole for an airlock so I used to leave the lid on loosely so air could escape. I pitched this Brew Friday night and maybe it’s because I’ve got an airlock on so notice it...

    Getting back into the Hobby…..

Hi All, Started Brewing just before Covid Hit. Have taken a tiny break and now want to get back to it. Was going through my stuff and apart from a Brewing Vessel I’m good to go I think…… Going to wait till tomorrow as there’s a sale on Brew2Bottle. I’ve got my eye on a Lager Kit etc. I’m...

How Long do Carbing Drops Take?

Got some Carbing Drops with my last Order. Was going to put the Beer on this Sunday which should take me till the 16th, was going to leave it for a week to maybe clear (might add some Finings) and then may bottle it on the 26th but just wondering if that gives me enough time to properly carb up...

    Lemon and Lime Beer

So going back a few years I had Lemon and Line Beer in Germany which was great. A few years later Becks brought it to the UK but it didn’t last long because I guess people weren’t buying it :?: I was wondering how I’d go about recreating that in terms of home brewing. If I waited until my Beer...

    Speed Up Carbing?

Hi, So I’ve finally got myself to the Bottling stage (I’m a terrible procrastinator) and I’m just wondering if there’s a way to speed up Carbing. I put a Teaspoon of Sugar in my bottles but that will take a few days to work and I don’t really have the time, is there a way I can still do this...

    18 days and still fermenting?!?

I’m doing a Lager Kit and even though the instructions say takes between 8 - 10 days I’ve left it in a little bit longer to make sure it’s defo done. Take a reading yesterday and it was 1.010 AND what looked like bubbles still in it. Does this mean it’s still fermenting and how much longer...

    Beer Finings and Flavouring together?

My latest batch is almost done. Was going to use Beer Finings but also have some Mangrove Jacks Flavour enhancer. Can I use both together with no trouble or should I use 1 x and wait 24 x Hours?!?

Would it be worth me investing?

So I came across This Basically my understanding is that I buy a CO2 bottle, attach it and then it carbs all the Beer? Will one bottle carb all the beer? Would it last for multiple batches? The only problem would be that the Beer would be warm or could I pour it direct into bottles and store...

How long can I store my Beer?

Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong place. Just brewed a Lager Kit and the Mrs has started showing Symptoms 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m going to be in isolation for two weeks so won’t be touching my Beer. It should be alright in the Bucket right?

    Agave 6.4% Lager

I’ve done a lager Brewkit but added 2 kg of Sugar instead of the 1. If all goes well it should finish at or around 6.4%. Was 5.91% after 1 week so giving it another to hopefully bump it up. Was thinking of maybe flavouring it with Agave just before bottling. Will this taste alright etc or is...

    Funny Things seen in Supermarkets

Just got back from Tesco and after yesterday’s announcement it’s come as no surprise that everyone’s raiding all the beer. What made me laugh though was everyone’s had all the Lager, Cider etc but there’s loads of Ale’s etc left 😂 Anyone else seeing anything funny/daft on your trips out?

    Extra FV

So I have one but I’m thinking of getting another. My current one doesn’t have a Tap but the one I’m thinking about buying does, I just had a minor question. If it has a Tap on it, will all the sediment and **** left over go into a bottle?

    Is my yeast dead?

Ok, so 5 days ago I pitched my yeast etc, binges 2kg of Sugar and let it do its thing. It was a bit slow at first but then I got some Krausen. I checked yesterday and it was all gone. I would have thought that the Krausen would have been there at least a week, have I killed it off? What do I do?

    8 days to Brew?!?

Ok so I know people aren’t keen on Kits but we all have to start somewhere..... Picked up a Brewmaker Lager Kit. Read the instructions and it reckons it will be done in 8 day’s. I’ve done a few kits and this seems a little too fast?!? What do you guys say?

    Flavourings

Saw some of these: https://brew2bottle.co.uk/collections/ingredients-yeasts/products/mangrove-jacks-beer-flavour-boosts Was thinking I have some Agave Nectar in the Cupboard. Would that be better for my Brew or would it not work? Also if I used that then how much do I need to use?

    Brewmaker Lager Kit

Just looking to do some Lager in time for Wrestlemania. Was just on the Brew2Bottle site and the Brewmaker Kits came up. How long would it take me to Brew to completion? Also it says I just need to add Sugar but if I used a Beer Kit enhancer would I have better results?

    Boardgames

Any fellow gamers out there? I was playing Dobble and Sushi Go last night with the Missus and my Niece whilst trying my Lager. What’s your favourite games at the moment? Get anything new for Christmas?

    Taking the next step

So I have done a few Beer Kits and maybe want to take things to the next level with my Brewing. I don’t have an abundance of money but is their a way I can start making my own Brew from scratch without loads of equipment etc? Would love to start adding hops and making some of the things that I...
