    Hop seedlings

I'll try and take a pic of my wild hops when I'm back at work
  2. Subtle Duck

    Hop seedlings

Definitely look like hops. Keep your eye on them, won't show, either male or female, until their mature. But might be in for a winner later on in the season

    Hop seedlings

Highly doubt it. I'm on the staffordshire/ Derbyshire border and never heard of any hop farms near by. Been working where I do for over 10 years and never seen any hops until they sprung up last year in both the hedge over the road and also another onsite. Both are now vigorously growing strong...

    Hop seedlings

Now got 38 seedlings rooted and growing / producing proper first leaves. Well excited. Many will go to my work to help cover arches. Few offered to friend for garden foliage. Glad they're going places. PM if you'd like some, first come first serve.

    Hop seedlings

Not too sure where to post this, I'd picked a load of wild hops last season and might have picked more than my fermenters could eat. Forward to this year, the container with the excess (maybe forgotten in a corner of the garden, intended for the compost pile) has given a nice surprise. Anybody...

    Knife Set

Go for pro cook. They are going through an update of the range and if you go in store you should find some of their knives for about £10 a piece. Or the other one is tkmax. Have found a few kai knives there for cheap

    Secret Santa Reviews 2022

Secret Santa number 2. A 5.2% Pale Ale. Appearance is much darker than expected and slightly hazy, head dissipated quite quickly. Hops and caramel notes come through well. Quite a refreshing bitterness when tasted with expected body for the style. Overall, a very nice beer. Thank you santa.

    Secret Santa Reviews 2022

Sorry, probably a good place to begin with. It was an American brown ale

    Secret Santa Reviews 2022

Clear, dark chestnut hues with a small head lasting all the way to the end of the glass. Citrus & spicy hop notes on the nose, Followed by a bit of toasty goodness. Not too bitter when tasted, quite crisp on the finish. Malt comes through, balanced well with the hops. Definitely picking up on...

    Secret Santa 2022

Is this why we should send early? Allow a period of settling before drinking? Especially bottle conditioned.... my Santa's are secure in the fridge to ensure this

My advent calendar is better than yours? 2022

Not so much beer related, but swmbo and my self do an advent calender (might add that we do leap frog days. She opens odd days and I open even days). So far, a cycle multi tool, tweed flat cap & a bottle of imp stout. Attached is our calendar with nothing on.
