    What are you drinking 2024.

Thankfully no. Every other bar and restaurant here has it 😄. I noticed last night while out for dinner, that you can get Tiger 'Crystal' 🤔

    What are you drinking 2024.

Just went to order a Duchess de Bourgogne and was informed that it's 2-4-1 Tuesday, so another Saison before the two Duchess' 😬. Definitely going to be messy. Here's the beer menu for anyone that's interested.

    What are you drinking 2024.

On my own in Singapore for tonight, so taking advantage of not having any Carling/Tennents/Heineken drinkers with me and trying out a Belgian restaurant that I've had my eye on for a while. Saison Dupont on draught. Lovely. A few others on the draught beer menu that I'm probably going to...

    What are you drinking 2024.

Found these at Lidl today. They must be relatively new as I've never noticed them before. Surprisingly, the BIPA tasted just like my own AG version. Happy with that! The Stag Do was really really tasty too. Defo buying these again.

How many litres of home brew have you made 2024

15L Cali Common. Second time brewing this, hopefully it will turn out as great as it did first time. Total - 330.5L

    Klarstein

I tend to only do 15L or 16L batches, so the grain bill is usually around 3.5 to 5kg worth, which when saturated with wort, is light enough to raise a little and strain some wort before lifting fully to slide the ring into place. I don't find it an issue. If you're doing larger batches though, I...

    What did you brew today?

I managed to squeeze in a brew day on Sunday. I reduced some times slightly and changed a couple of ways that I do things to try to keep the brew day shorter as I was on a tight schedule. Cali Common 3.15kg Pilsner malt 0.4kg Munich malt Hallertau Mittelfruh CML Kentucky 45 minute mash at...

    Secret Santa Reviews 2023

Thanks to @Alastair70 from me too. Thoroughly enjoyed the beers I received and over the moon with the reviews of my own beer. Well done, much appreciated 👏

    Secret Santa Reviews 2023

Both my offerings have now been reviewed and I'm over the moon with them. @dave_77 and @nidge - thank you for your kind words. The Saison was brewed loosely on Jon Finch's recipe, using only pilsner malt, with coriander, black peppercorns and orange zest in the boil. Yeast used was MJ M29...

    Secret Santa Reviews 2023

Second bottle, this time it's the Doppelbock at 7.2%. Small hiss on opening and poured a dark, deep red/orange colour. The head was decent but dissapated quickly. Aroma is citrusy with rich raisins. Taste is toffee, roasted malt, a little hint of citrus. It drinks quite dry too, enticing you...

    Secret Santa Reviews 2023

First of my 2 Secret Santa's, a Single Hop APA called Omni Denali, coming in at 5.3%. Small hiss on opening and poured a lovely dark golden colour with a good white head. I'm not getting much on the aroma other than malt, although my sense of smell isn't the best, particularly following a bit...

    Secret Santa Reviews 2023

Apologies to the secret Santa's awaiting reviews from me - the past few days have been full on with no opportunity to give each beer the time it deserves. Hopefully tomorrow night.

    Party dispenser corny keg disconnect

I strip mines down and clean them regularly, along with the party tap dispenser. @Caramel Ox and @Twostage - Just unscrew that top part and it will open up to reveal the spring and plunger. Give them a clean then re-assemble and screw in the top part again. The slot for the screwdriver should...

    What did you brew today?

BBE - Best Brewday Ever! Took a day off work today to use up some accrued holidays, but chose today as the other half is working a long shift and the boy's at school until 4pm today. 15L Black IPA. Pale Ale Malt, chocolate Malt and black malt. Columbus and Citra in the boil with Citra and...

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

I had to Google what the difference was between an East Coast IPA and a NEIPA when I poured this, as I assumed both were the same and therefore expected a hazy pour with a punch in the face of citrusy aromas. This one from Williams Brothers, as it's an East Coast IPA, didn't pour hazy and didn't...

What are you drinking tonight 2023.

Second of the Home Bargains beers - a robust Porter from DC Brau. Lovely. Nice roasted flavour and an immediate chocolate aftertaste. Great choices from Mrs B.
