Foreign Secretary James Cleverly tells LGBT fans to be respectful -

They should be, they have oil, gas and a shed load of money so won’t be. They should never have been “allowed” to host, or rather buy it, not to mention the thousands of workers who have died in horrendous conditions and decades of Human rights abuses.

    Skinners Brewery

Very sad news, lost many an evening enjoying Stogs and Knocker over the years! both excellent beers, hopefully the Old Ale House will stay open. Hope someone can step and save the jobs in Truro, sorely needed.

    Slug problems... anyone?

We get a few a week in the kitchen, 1870s house so lots of entry points! Mopping floor with white vinegar in water with few drops lavender or rosemary oil seems to have dissuaded them, down by about half. Has been a real problem on allotment in past years, tried all the usual apart from poisons...

The downfall of the Tory party.

Kwasi, Patel and Truss and others wrote an incoherent book a few years back that explains exactly what they are doing, and where they want to go, Britain Unchained, if you can stand to read it. A mish mash of misunderstood Friedman economic theory and a US style hatred of the state doing...

    Bottle rinsers

Great for no rinse sanitizer on bottling, I also pop the crown caps in the base as tipped on forum. Bottles are clean already, good rinse and scrub when emptied so just need sanitizing. Once zapped bottles go onto bottle tree, have to admit it’s fun to use! might just be me lol

    Truck drivers.

Hitched all over the country in my skint youth thanks to the generosity and kindness of many truckers, met some really interesting people, never had any problems and got to see a side of life/country most have no clue about. Difficult job!

Covid booster: Who will get another jab this autumn?

Each to their own etc, however it’s not true vaccines do not protect others, if your vaccinated and do catch it your viral load will be lower and you will shed less viable virus, exposing others to less of a load. A lot of research by highly educated, world respected “experts” out there. Booked...

    Container for no chill brewing

I also make small batches 1 to 2 gallons, when time is tight I let it cool in a 16 litre bucket with tap overnight, then let that empty into same size fermenting bucket next day, gets oxygen into it and saves my dodgy shoulder stirring /shaking lol. All sterilised with Sodium P and tap soaked...

Sir Keir Starmer breached MPs' code of conduct eight times

Is this a discussion or something else? As a discussion, hopefully you’ll get different and divergent opinions which you may or may not agree with, the code was breached which he has admitted and apologised for, and the author of the report has stated the breaches were not malicious or...

Sir Keir Starmer breached MPs' code of conduct eight times

When you look into it these were late filings, not deliberate attempts to hide income that could lead to influence as some have done. Ms Stone in her report has said as much herself.

One-way ticket to Rwanda for some UK asylum seekers

I agree with some of what you say, but take issue with your imo naive reference to the Falklands War. The islands are British territory that had been invaded by a quasi fascist military regime who had no qualms about murdering anyone who stood upto them, even drugging dissidents and throwing...

Do you still live where you were born.

Left Cornwall to study and work, nothing doing back then a lot moved away as no jobs etc, lived all over UK and travelled the world, this is a beautiful country, couldn’t afford to move back to Cornwall now sadly house prices are insane. Meant to say we are happy where we are though!

    Woodfordes Tinsel toes

Tinsel toes is a nice pint from memory, second one I brewed a bit stronger with some extra spray and a little wheat malt and Candi which gave it more of a kick.

Ukraine: Russia has launched 'full-scale invasion'

Unfortunately Putin has systematically got rid of anyone with the potential chops to pose a threat, the radio today stating he has taken personal charge of some of the strategic decision making may explain some of the basic errors the Ruscist forces are making, the last Tsar did this and got the...
