First try of the this Chocolate Milkshake Stout last night! It had 2 weeks in primary, 2 in secondary, and then its spent a month in the fridge. The plan is to try at 3 months, 6 months and one year as well. It pours...a lovely solid black with a nice tight head at the lower portion and larger...

Thanks @Session - read this reply after brew day yesterday but planning to re-brew this several times with small tweaks to get a real understanding so will take both suggestions into consideration! Successful brew day, it's now bubbling away like a good'n in the cupboard!

Afternoon! After only ever brewing stouts, I thought it would be interesting to have a crack at something pale. Got a bit of time on my hands, so thinking to start with the below recipe and then tweak and build. Any feedback on initial recipe would be great! ALSO...speedy delivery from Malt...

Hi @Linalmeemow - to make a vodka tincture that I’m thinking to add before secondary. BIG chocolate!

About a week - then put through a coffee filter. I’ve frozen the vodka tincture that’s come off so I can remove the fats then add to before secondary

This is my exact fear @Hengoedbrewer! Considering I’ll be fermenting for 3 weeks, and then leaving in the bottle for a good couple of months before drinking, it’d be gutting to find a low body beer at the end!

Thanks for this @Sadfield - no massive astringency issues just experimenting with as many ways as possible to firstly, learn and secondly, try to get the beer as creamy and smooth as possible! A lot there for me to research/think about!!
