    A load off my mind.

I started going bald at about 20 and so shaved my head from then on. Used to do it 3x a week, now I do it about once a fortnight. Still wish I had a proper head of hair, but there are plenty worse things in life so can't really complain! Also handy for shaving elsewhere

Ukraine: Russia has launched 'full-scale invasion'

So he doesn't play by the rules but we should believe what he's saying? And we should believe that he can threaten us even though the cream of the Russian army has been eviscerated by Ukraine by an order of at least 3 to 1. Ukraine who have only really got their **** together as a fighting...

Ukraine: Russia has launched 'full-scale invasion'

You OK Chipster? Have a wee think about what you just said. How on earth would we, as in NATO countries, be put under pressure? It's been fair game for decades to arm the other side, whether it was NATO or Warsaw Pact/Russia doing the arming of whatever "special operation" each side was doing...

One-way ticket to Rwanda for some UK asylum seekers

Price of cheese? If we deport tories they can stay in the east wing of Lord Cuntswiches country pad, he won't be needing it anymore.

    Hop plants/rhizomes - growing report

My new prima donna planted in november with a tiny rhizome has not broken ground yet but I checked it underground and it does have sprouts, so I wouldn't be too worried. It's been such a mild winter in scotland that I doubt any frosts will have bothered your plant in the slightest. The only...

Rescuing a beer with ZERO head retention?

I can't see how you can add anything now without oxidising it. You can get additives like PGA (sold as beer heading liquid or similar) which makes a lasting head but the best way is to brew in ways that are foam +ve murphys has a good bit of info...

One-way ticket to Rwanda for some UK asylum seekers

We let asylum seekers seek asylum in the UK and for each one that arrives we deport a Tory to Rwanda.

Me too, did my potatoes as well as planting modules of lettuce, beetroot, kohl rabi, florence fennel, coriander and dill. Greenhouse is producing loads of salads. Going back this afternoon to plant some broccoli di ciccio which I have not grown before and some spinach. Everything is under fleece

    The Homemade Pizza Thread

Made 8 pizzas yesterday, needed a quick dough so it was a 9 hour room temp dough, one hour in bulk the rest balls. I also ran out of flour so for the first time in a while I used british bread flour, Asda own brand which is just repacked Allinson's. Made for a very nice pizza in the end. Only...

What have you been smoking on bbq?

Also, does anyone think this could be a good cut to go low and slow? I'm not too sure what part of the cow it is from, some googling suggests the flank and similar to a short rib. Good value when you compare to some cuts. Further googling suggests that they pretty much are short ribs

    BBQ thoughts....

I have had a few pizzas cooked on BBQs before and never been particularly impressed with them. You really need the heat source to be off to the side for great pizza, not directly below. Similarly I've tried using my pizza over as a grill and smoker and a weber wipes the floor with it on both...

    Fermented hot sauce

Chipotles are dried and smoked ripe jalapenos You cant go wrong with jalapenos as they are great green too. Bit late to start them, I would order some plug plants now or buy some from a garden centre

A good doner is great, quality cuts of lamb slapped onto a spit, seasoned, and grilled upright to perfection. A lot of doner in the uk though is utter rubbish, mechanically separated scrotum, overly salted and served to drunks with three day old lettuce. also a fan of all types :beer1:

    The Homemade Pizza Thread

Pizza Napoletana is easy to get now in most uk cities, alongside the ubiquitous domino's, pizza hut, papa John's etc and the kebab shop ones as Alastair mentioned, which I think are probably closest to what is known as Greek pizza in the US. Other types of Italian pizza such as tonda romana or...
