Two weeks ago I attempted my first small batch of Turbo Cider with a few cartons Lidl Apple juice that was on offer for 2litres. For the first 8 days it bubbled like crazy then it tailed off a little and I forgot about it....I have looked at it over the weekend and its stopped bubbling...

Hi, Can you use 2L and 500ml Coke bottles (or equivalent) to store beer/stout? If so, do you just use the screw cap and are there other things to think about when using them? Can you use them even if you prime the bottle? Thanks

It I could get hold of some of this and added a few Stainless Steel bolts to keep it off the bottom of the boiler would it work as a strainer by itself?

This is a great walk through and as soon as I get all of my kit together this is going to be my next step up before attempting a AG brew.....one quick newbie question though....did you prime the bottles\keg (if so what with and how much?)

Thanks, I picked them up this afternoon so I see what you mean now... So if I use one as a HLT I just really need to replace the tap (with the one mentioned above) and then perhaps fit a L-bend to the end so everything does not splash all over the place and so I can connect a pipe to it easily...
