    Coke Bottles

Hi, Can you use 2L and 500ml Coke bottles (or equivalent) to store beer/stout? If so, do you just use the screw cap and are there other things to think about when using them? Can you use them even if you prime the bottle? Thanks

Sorry for the dumb question? - I have a copy of the Graham Wheeler book and its a bit sparse when it comes to priming... Is priming always nescessary or just advised? For instance I'm planing to attempt the 'How to' example - Extract Brewing, Stout brew walk through in the next couple of...

False bottom for cool box and perhaps a buffalo boiler

I'm thinking a making a false bottom for a cool box out of a perforated Stainless Steel sheet...I have seen a 'How to' on it and have found the following link to a site that would supply the sheeting: http://metaloffcuts.co.uk/shop/stainles%20...%20sheet.html But what Perforation option would...

    Buffalo boilers.

Thanks, I picked them up this afternoon so I see what you mean now... So if I use one as a HLT I just really need to replace the tap (with the one mentioned above) and then perhaps fit a L-bend to the end so everything does not splash all over the place and so I can connect a pipe to it easily...

    Buffalo boilers.

Hi, I have just won a second hand pair of these boilers on ebay (i have not picked them up yet though)...I notice that a lot of people seem to replace the tap is this just because the standard tap does not stay open by itself? or is it all a matter of controlling the flow of water or...
