    Anyone who knows Java

Oh ****, that's the bit I don't do... I can write it but getting an environment right I have other people to do...

    Anyone who knows Java

Might know a bit. But it's a tricky bugger to get started with.

    So I bought some kegs...

Hey jonny, I know nothing about cornies I'm afraid - I've gone for polykegs with sankey connectors. Those gauges though look decent value - I think I'm going to just get one to tune the regs for now and maybe replace them all further down the line.

Not going to the bookies but in the sweepie at work I have "Rose of the Moon" and "Tidal Bay"...

Nice! Where'd you get them Kev?

    So I bought some kegs...

Did they come equipped? All I've found so far are the John Guest PI series ones... ...these little gizmos then - to prevent beer backing up through the gas lines?

    So I bought some kegs...

What do the rest of you keggeratti use for gas stop valves between reg and coupler?

    So I bought some kegs...

69 litres of beer (three kit brews) kegged last night in less time than it would have taken to bottle one of them! This makes me happy! Now conditioning while I get organised to build a dispensary... :thumb:

Adding the dregs of Old Rosie to cider?

Aye! Although it wasn't directly from an O.R. The original culture came from you... but the yeast pegged out in transport. So I had plenty MLF going on but no alcoholic fermentation. Pitched a couple of packets of Youngs champagne yeast and ended up with proper scrumpy. I then dropped...

To chill or not to chill

<soapbox> You can keep your food technology, thanks. I want mine grown, brewed or cooked. I'll have it from a farm or the sea (and only via a slaughterhouse, butcher, fishmonger mill and baker [Ooh, and of course Maltster!]) not a factory. Commoditisation of food is the biggest plague on our...

    BIAB Speckled Hen

Good pics, Gaz! I too would be tempted to rig something up to dangle your bag and save the arms. In fact a simple block and tackle would be really cheap and would save you lifting the bugger completely! What were the heating/boiling times like with that burner?

    BIAB Speckled Hen

Promise her a nice new one and she'll be happy and what's more you get a dedicated BIAB one... ;)

    BIAB Speckled Hen

Welcome to the darkside (of the darkside)!! I stir lots because I have no insulation and I'm on gas... So I add a bit of heat and stir a couple of times...

Best yeast for lager without ability to lager!

I'd go with the Malt Miller's own brand West Coast yeast. Really clean and packs down better than us05. :thumb:
