    Coopers Julebryg

I made this last year using the coopers English bitter, and used crystal malt too. 150g iirc. Came out really nice... Took a few good months to get to its best, so if I were you, brewing by June at the latest would've been better. But should still be ok for Christmas, will just be better as a...

    Geordie winter warmer

Wasn't the best... The coopers Julebryg I made was much better. The body in this wasn't too bad, but the taste in it was very homebrewy, even 7 months after it hadn't dissipated. However, the Julebryg turned out really nice...

    tesco's home plus bristol

Not all extra stores stock homebrew stuff. I have 3 near me, and out of them, only 1 stocks homebrew stuff... Also, someone in other thread said they bought from Tesco extra. Not sure if they got confused or not though?!

Tea urn boiler ... How to put to best use...

Thanks for all replies. Will try to give it a good clean out in a few days. Took a pic of wiring, any ideas of what to do to ensure a rolling boil? I imagine I'd need to do summat, as there's likely to be a sensor in there to cut out... Can give it a test when clean out... Thanks again for...

Tea urn boiler ... How to put to best use...

Hi all. I've been away from brewing for a bit, but currently wanting to return to it. I've possibly been able to get myself a tea urn. Now, it's got quite a bit of lime scale inside, so I assume best thing to do would be the clear all the lime scale away: Now, the boiler itself is a cygnet...

    Christmas beer!

I made one of these with 1500g dme iirc. Body was nice, abv came to approx 6% I think. Taste was ok, but even after 7 months, it had that homebrew taste to it... However,I made the Coopers Julebryg (check their website) using the English bitter kit, and it was superb! Might have to have another...

Interesting thread this, as I've recently been having a few problems with the battery/electrics on my Ford Mondeo. Driving home last week, I noticed the battery light flicker on for a split second, then cut straight off again. Now problem with the car so didn't think anything of it...

    1st wherry - keg worries

Would be good you get thoughts on this. I too had a beer I kegged in October November time. Pressure was good for a bit, but then started dropping. About same time as went cold. So, I would guess it is the cold? How come though?

    Wherry/Sundew combo

This sounds like a good experiment. Got a few of the sundew kits from dunelm, and already had a couple of wherrys. Would like to see what responses are to this, as might give it a go...

    Youngs Barley wine

I haven't done this one myself, but I do have the kit in the garage waiting to be brewed at some point... So, I would like to know how you go ahead with the brew, and how it's going... Was thinking I would probably steep a few grains to go with it, but dunno which would be best with this kit...

    Parking!

Thing that gets on my nerves, is those households that have loads of cars! One of our neighbours has a giant 4x4, a car and a taxi for his work. The car never moves, the taxi is only used during day, and so both are parked on road and never move. Then there is 2 bikes in the garage. There's only...

    how much do you drink?

Sorry for bringing up such an old thread. But, I've recently been thinking about the amount I drink, and hat it's been too much. So I too am looking to cut down. Previously,I'd been drinking about 3-5 pints a night, every night. So, now I'm going to try and take a bit of a rest before...
