Hi all, I had a water profile done by Murphys via brewuk and it provides instructions for 3 categories: Lager / pilsners Pale ale / bitters Stout / porters Should I be using the lager instructions when brewing a wheat beer? Or do I need to work out another "category"? Thanks

Thanks. I have a plastic valve from eBay to try , seems a good fit on the blue chiller in hose. Hopefully brew tomorrow so will report back!

When you stop the pump it fills with air so when you turn back on you will get that initially. If you don't like it you can lift out the out pipe until the air has gone but can't see it causing any trouble unless you are really full and close to rim?

Do b&q do the blue hosing?

How much beer are you losing in the container? Looks like could get away with a much smaller container if one can be found...?

This sounds like a great idea, some quick disconnect fittings and I could remove the pipe after every brew! Have you anywhere you would recommend for getting the parts?

Thanks chewie, I should have mentioned that using connections in the kitchen isn't going to work for me. I just have the outside tap (on the back of the house) and my "brewroom" which is on the side. Hence me running garden hose around the back.
