    no, no extras, when i bottle the lager (next brew) should i shake the bottle to dissolve the sugar or leave it at the bottom of the bottle?

    Hi, this happened a few brews ago & has just happened again. The lager looks & tastes fine but is totally flat! I put 2.5 teaspoons of sugar in per 2 litre bottle before bottling, all were sterilised, I have no idea. pls advise Sean

    Can anyone tell me the difference in brewing wine with demijohns compared the fermenting buckets? I have my first wine brewing in a 5ltr fermenting bucket & want to do more but I dont know anything about it. thanks sean

    thanks for the replies guys, yes it was more like rotten eggs but started slowly settling down. All gone now tho so it cant have been that bad!!!

    Hi, just registered on here, started brewing at xmas & have done 2 different lagers (enjoyed :D ) & one pear cider. The pear cider has a strong ammonia type of smell to it, any ideas?? thanks
