    Milestone Raspberry Wheat Review

Just cracking a few bottles of my first batch of this beer today with the footy. Quality control y'see. It's young yet at 5wks (bottled, 2 hot/brew room three cool/garage weeks) but very enjoyable.crisp and refreshing. Not overpowering in the fruit, you get the taste but It's heavier in the...

When you think you have it nailed you lose focus at the wrong moment. Hang your head sir, hang your head.

Waxy film and spots on beer

Taste it, taste it now. I've brewed that exact kit and it is nice beer. If it is disgusting now then its not right. Mine have tasted good flat straight from fv

    getting into the hobby?

Read that back and it sounds arrogant. Not saying I am right, that was simply my experience as a novice. I am now 4 kits drunk and brewing 3 kits at once to get a stock built up to get some age on it. There will be cheaper ways, but I found spending extra each kit for your first few means you...

    getting into the hobby?

Do what I did. Save a little and bite the bullet. I bought my setup, a beer kit, enough bottles for 2 kits and everything else I needed. I then religiously saved all tj3 bottles from the real ale I drink. I picked up 2 cheap plastic pressure kegs on eBay. For your next few batches budget for...

    your top three?

It's a hint of raspberry. Smells strong but mainly after taste on the pallet. It clears for one, don't expect a hoegaarden but its a nice drink all in all.

First batch of homebrew done and dusted.

I have hundreds of bottles and only two kegs. Just keep a couple if 'standards' in keg. A wherry and raspberry wheat right now. Always make sure I have another batch of same bottled and conditioning too. Get cracking on the next one, jeebus hates empty FV's.

    your top three?

Cool, its the milestone raspberry wheat I have and like too. I want something hoppy to chill down. Also local shop has now got the new woodforde kit, sundew. Straw coloured and hoppy it says. Sold!

    your top three?

Cleaned down all three FVs last night, going put to grab three kits etc layer. Got me to wondering what are your favourite three kits? Have a plan for two of the FVs. One is going to be a wherry as I have a wherry kegged and want to get one. Bottled for comparison. Same with number two, I have...

AG # 1 Hop Back Summer Lightning

Summer lightening is one of my favourite beers. Locally only Morrisons sell it. What yeast did you use? I'm a huge fan of this beer and would love to do a copy using a culture of yeast stolen from a few "research" bottles of it!

    another question!!!!

As above. Prime the whole batch then keg/bottle as you will.

    Wolves weissbier (with American wlp320)

Haha sorry was a Wolverhampton wanderers reference that as a football fan I could not resist. I only brew kits currently, but hoegaarden is one of my favourite drinks. Would love to do a real AG spiced unfiltered wheatbeer one day. I am very jealous.

    Wolves weissbier (with American wlp320)

No one else is going there? Really? Ok then; Wolves beer?....that'll go down well! (Ba da bum etc). Anywho, love a good wheatbeer. Thorough review required!

OK OK Dont shoot the messenger!!

Just brew any low abv bitter of the right style from a kit. If they specifically requested that then they will drink anything.

    moment of madness

At the end of the day its only of there is wild yeast about or another beastie not sterilized that you'll have n issue. Odds are it'll be ok and It's at least worth letting it run its course. It's more likely to work than not IMHO
