Fans don't cool.... they only move air, if the air passes over your skin, it evaporates moisture from your skin giving a cooling effect. If you pass air over a dry object it has no cooling effect, unless you wrap it in a wet towel, or the fan is pulling air from a cooler place.

Yeah I went down this route when I first started, soon ran out. I switched very quickly to a 10 Litre Gas Cylinder, £30 per refill, but lasts far longer.

I think you can over tighten these, which can squeeze the seal out of position, especially if lubricated. I also removed the sharp inside edge with wire wool, then hand tight plus 1/8th of a turn...

I've had this issue, I ended up swapping them out for Stainless Steel ones that have rubber seals... no longer an issue
