    Cloudy Pilsner?

It was planned to be a xmas beer, so it would be 5-6 weeks old. I've brewed around 10 kits now, but never had one take this long to clear.

    Muntons beer kit

I did their Pilsner recently, can't remember the exact name, but I thought it was spot on. So much so, I bought it again, along with their IPA ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Cloudy Pilsner?

Carbed? Please elaborate It's very lively when I pour it, as it usually it out of my keg. It's in the kitchen now, which is a bit warmer then my garage. How long did it take to work? It was meant to be a Christmas beer, but I have plenty of bottles I've brewed, so no rush for it ๐Ÿ˜

    Cloudy Pilsner?

Hi all, I kegged a Pilsner 4 weeks ago in my garage. I didn't put it somewhere warm for a few days. I thought it might just take a bit longer to condition. What should I do? Should I warm it up now? Or leave it a bit longer????

Best way to make cider from fresh apples, pear and rhubarb?

I was just going to stick it in my FV with an airlock on top ๐Ÿ˜ฌ the rhubarb is currently in the freezer ๐Ÿ‘Œdo I need to add water? Or it is fine just to brew using the juices alone?

Best way to make cider from fresh apples, pear and rhubarb?

Hi all, I've been given a load of apples, pears and rhubarb. How should I go about making cider from them? I don't have a press, I normally brew from kits. I have a sachet of cider yeast. Suggestions on a postcard please....

    Wobbly gob elderflower kit

Hi all, I started a kit off on Sunday. I've never done a wobbly god before. I was confused as to weather or not I add sugar, because the kit didn't say "don't add sugar for fermentation" or "now add your 1kg of sugar", it just said use sugar for priming bottles/keg. So I didn't add sugar...

How to Set up a Water Bath for your FV

I did discuss this with Terry via PM recently, which we both agreed on... So keep your water level a bit lower than your brew level. As for bacteria growth? You could treat the water with your normal cleaner???

I need ideas for cider for the mrs

When you say rhubarb added, do you mean just throw in some rhubarb? I have some rhubarb in the freezer, that has been chopped to inch long bits. Just chuck that in? Or do something else to it first?

    Drinking beer early

I've just sampled a bit, and it seems to have saved it, and it's drinkable ๐Ÿ˜Ž However, my super 30 bottle just ran out! ๐Ÿ˜ญ My nearest proper homebrew shop is 10 mile away. I hope its classed as essential travel ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

    Drinking beer early

I have one of the big bottles, about 7-8" long I think. I'll probably need a refill on it soon, I've had it a while

    Drinking beer early

I don't have a pressure gauge. Is the pressure relief seal (elastic band) rated to 10psi???

    Drinking beer early

I have actually managed to bodge the seal air tight for now. I had to use some grips to get the leverage ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. Does the co2 takes a while to work?

    Drinking beer early

You lot are quick off the mark on this one! ๐Ÿ˜‚ However, I've hit a stumbling block ๐Ÿ˜ญ It's flat! My seal is old, and it let all the build up of pressure out ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I primed the keg with 85g. So, can I fit new seal, and put it somewhere warm again for 2 days? Do I need to add more priming sugar...

    Drinking beer early

Hi all, my Tom Caxton ale was in the FV for a week, and now in the keg for 5 days. How soon have people poured a pint after brewing, without it tasting vile? It says 14 days to condition. What's the odds on not regretting having one this weekend???
