    Sterilisation of kit

I'll still rinse either. Margarine and artificial sweeteners were pedalled as healthy alternatives to butter and sugar ;) Water is ok :D Look up Dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid ;)

    Sterilisation of kit

Apparently from what I've read they are the same, just a name change for European market or whatever. None rinse almost instant sanitiser. But very foaming. Milton, none rinse, 15 minutes contact time, none foaming. Swirl everything about in bucket, wait 15 minutes (no big deal), and I give...

    Sterilisation of kit

I've got a Boots fermentation bucket that is at least 20 years old. I used to throw all my equipment in it. Still doing it's job. Mind, I wouldn't use a metal stirrer 😁 I still use Milton for sanitiser too. Cheap and readily available anywhere ;)

    Stout kit

I put a 1ltr bottle in the fridge before my last night shift on Tuesday. Early days I know but I thought I'd have a little tipple on my first night off yesterday. 😉😁 I was very tired after only about 1.5 hours sleep 🙄 so around 6pm I drank the 1ltr of stout followed by a glass of home made red...

Juicy Session IPA - Mangrove Jack's review

It's a conundrum, I'm tempted to add the citra hops but I liked it without them 🤔

    What did you brew today?

Mangrove jacks juicy IPA with 1.2kg of mangrove jacks liquid malt extract. Temperature at 21 degrees and unsure whether to add the hops later as I really liked it without. ???

    Stout kit

Bottled it last night and probably drank about 1ltr 🤣 Obviously flat and warmish but not bad. Hint of chocolate and I think treacle. I can't really compare it not being a stout drinker but so far so good and I'll report back in a few weeks when it's carbed and matured ;)
