    Harris Essential Range

I have brewed a couple of beers from the Dark Rock Session range, namely Nectaron and India Pale Lager and have been very impressed with the results. Nectaron is superb and the IPL was even better. I'm tempted to try the Harris Essential pilsner and blonde just to keep stocks up during this...

Beer conditioning in a corny keg

Hi all, I have a question regarding conditioning of IPA type beers in a corny keg. After kegging, what temps should I store the beer at before it goes into the kegerator? I brew in a well insulated garage where the temp varies between 15 and 26'C across the year - if the brew fridge is free then...

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Just back from the pub with my youngest. A few Red Stripes went down very well and retuned home to search in the bottle fridge for the next drink - 1 bottle of unlabelled home brew from God knows when - opened and poured, smells lovely and tastes great. Just no idea what it is! Like a fruity...

    Problems with the Landlord

Thanks for all the responses. Interestingly I have got it in a corny and it is over carbonated. It's time to give everything a good soak in vwp.

    Problems with the Landlord

Thanks for the responses. I think the last ferment in the FV was a wine. I gave the FV a good clean yesterday with an active oxygen cleaner but noted that there was a scratch on the inside - so that can go in the bin.

    Problems with the Landlord

Hi all, I'm after some advice as to what went wrong with a recent AG brew of a Landlord clone. I was brewing a typical Landlord recipe using my Brewzilla and the mash and boil went to plan - SG hit predictions and all appeared well. I fermented the wort using NBS Ale yeast (from Malt Miller) in...

    What did you brew today?

Brewed a longhorn IPA clone today. First time using water treatment and the brewzilla whirlpool arm. OG was 1053 instead of the expected 1047 so I need to update my efficiency in brewfather as I seem to be getting better with the bz. First brew with my Ispindel Christmas present - it is so...

How many more brews will you make in 2021

Got a red stripe clone cold crashing and a house pale halfway through fermentation. Will put something hoppy on mid month so I can dry hop around Christmas - possibly a longhorn clone. And I have a kveik lager yeast which I'm desperate to use and the Christmas break would be the ideal...

    Harris Wine Kits

Time for a follow up on this. The Chardonnay keg was finished last weekend. The sulphur smell soon disappeared and the wine improved - overall mouthfeel and taste was excellent. The wine only took a small amount of carbonation but probably enough to be classed as frizzante. Would have no...
