    Muntons Old Conkerwood Ale

Giving this kit a go shortly, but understand the yeast provided is a bit short on size to Brew down to final gravity. I am thinking of using a replacement, I have got in mangrove Jack's MI5 or Lallemand Nottingham 10g and 11g packets. Also has anyone used an addition of lactose to this kit...

    Reliable sodastream gas regulator adapter

As the title says I am looking for recommendations for a leak free connector for my kegland mk 4 regulator to connect to a sodastream cylinder I have bought 3 so far all have issues with either leaks or dodgy O rings that swell, then cut off the gas to the regulator. So far tried one from co2...

    Have I created a monster

Just started this kit Gozdawa Belgian Xmas Trappist ale. Single can kit, as per instructions added 0.5 kg Dark candy crystals, 0.5kg Dextrose, 1kg white granulated. SG 1.053 Tasted the wort, very reminiscent of bonfire toffee. 😊 Recommended on the instructions to make yeast up as a starter...

Using keg posts instead of s30

I have read a post somewhere about swapping out S30 valves on pressure barrels for Corney keg gas posts somewhere and can't for the life of me find it. I am looking at adding a gas post onto a 4 inch barrel cap to utilise my sodastream Corney set up. I think for safety I will leave the s30 on...

    Festival Golden Stag

Got a festival golden Stag brewed to 40 pints getting ready to bottle / keg. Does this sound right way to go about things. Transfer from primary about 18.5 litres into Corney keg, add priming suger in proportion to the 18.5 litres, move to warm for 2 weeks to secondary ferment. The remaining...

    Sodastream refill set up

Wondered if anyone using this to fill sodastream bottles from a pub size co2 cylinder. I've seen the small brass type put this looks better as you can isolate the gas going in via the lever tap, and also has a pin attachment to work around the sodastream anti fill valve

Swapping out S30 for ball lock posts

Hi all Spotted these today https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164347162930 Would it be possible to fit these on pressure barrels rather than s30 posts. I'm thinking of using one gas setup for Corney Kegs and pressure barrels. Obviously I would use a regulator on the gas line. On a kingkeg top maybe...

    Bit of help needed

Recently put a brew into a Rotokeg, which has a schrader valve to measure pressure, and a brand new 4 inch cap My thoughts are the beer is absorbing the co2 in the barrel (carbonisation) so the pressure keeps dropping Here`s my notes 05.11.20 - 9.2 psi 06.11.20 - 7.4 psi - gassed up to 10 psi...
