    CBC/Meantime/The Malt Miller British IPA Competition

    Personally I'm starting to think that the new British hops are a marketing ploy. They can't handle anything but light malt flavours. I've put 275g in the dry hop of olicana and cf184 with aromazyme and getting nothing back. I'm using plumage archer and crystal heritage malts.

    You will need to utilise a fair bit of that 200g to get the aroma and flavour. I would also cut it with a citrusy hop. I used Styrian Wolf with it for an American IPA

    WHC Einstein yeast is a slow starter?

    Pitched some WHC Einstein yeast for a Helles on a Thursday. Temp is 11 degrees C. It's now Sunday and still nothing. Nutrients used and aerated. 11g of yeast in 20l. OG 1.060. Not used lager yeast before so no idea if it's just slow. I suspect I'm being impatient and just used to ale yeast...

    Harlequin & Most Hops

    I made an American IPA with Möst. I managed to get a strawberry aroma at room temperature off it. It's been one of my favourite brews this year

    Lalbrew London yeast

    I've used the lalbrew London yeast for a porter and experienced the same attenuation issue. Probably worth sticking in some yeast nutrient.
