Hi I make the MYO American ipa all the time and it’s good, I’ve bottled it and barrelled it 👍 I’ve made the Wherry too and that’s nice but has no dry hops.

I think elvis juice is better with less alcohol !

I bought an American ipa kit from the range, one of the nicest pints I’ve had for a long time, it’s as good as the Youngs American ipa kit I normally make but £10 cheaper at £14.99 although you need 1kg of dextrose too, they sell that & it’s only £2.49.

1845 a gem of bottled beers shame I can’t seem to find it around here now, it used to be a weekend beer for me, really miss it.

Thanks for your advice, there’s no activity at the airlock and it was bubbling a couple of times a minute this morning, just seemed a bit strange and I’ve read about this kit stalling at 1020 on this forum.

Hey I love the satisfaction of bottling, I’ve got around 120 swing tops so 3 different brews some ready, some conditioning, some for my mates and I enjoy popping one open, bottle conditioned for me :onechug:

Hi I’m about to start a Woodfords Wherry kit & im considering adding some medium spray malt at the start to increase the ABV a little, perhaps by 1 or 2 percent, has anyone got any advice on weather to do this or is it best to leave as standard? Thanks
