Do most people use these for making a starter? If so, do you leave it switched on all the time you are making the starter?
Any recommendations for good, reliable stir plates?

Didn’t manage to taste any other forum members’ beers, but I have to say I didn’t taste a bad beer all afternoon. Which is fantastic but also slightly worrying!
I’ve just had my final score sheets through. 29 for our damson gose. Couldn’t get the damson and not salty enough but liked it as a beer. Oh well, a few tweaks needed!
Scored 24 for our green hop beer, which we entered as an English IPA. Too much diacetyl.
Scored 37 for our milk stout entered under 16A Sweet Stouts without placing. Does anyone know what the winning scores were for this category?
I'll be there later, trains permitting. Entered 3 beers and will look out for the above beers, although the way they're normally put out doesn't make this very easy!
