    Another beer gun question

After a couple of guys local to me got back to me about it I think I'd give it a miss. I'm fed up buying cheap and buying twice. To impatient and proud of my brews to risk a cheap tool wasting it.

    Another beer gun question

I'm hoping to move on from bottle conditioning, it's what I've done for the last few years but just looking to step up and move towards draught. Have some cash saved for adding to the kit so a starter keg kit was the plan. The family reunion just moved the timeline forward a bit.

    Another beer gun question

That's a fair question but the short term option for my ongoing brewing is bottling. The long-term will be a draught system but I don't have the space for another fridge. The one I have is pretty much tied up with my brew schedule. Hoping to get a new shed installed in 2021/22 so that'll be the...

    Another beer gun question

Hi guys Sorry to ask, I did search (I promise) before posting. Has anyone used this beer gun? Bottle Filler Beer Gun Was going to spring for the Blichmann but delivery is £15 so was kind of put off, 15% of the total cost urgh. I have a lager nowhere near ready, if you follow the rules, but a...

    Fermentation fridge problem

There was no click when I turned it down just now. Yesterday when it was cooling I turned the thermostat down to try and get some idea of what was happening, it worked by stopping the compressor ( I assume) as it went quiet. I have turned the fridge off at the dial and will unplug and leave it...

    Fermentation fridge problem

Not sure I'm fully getting you there. Right now the fridge has power and the dial is set to 5 but the temp is rising. Do you mean I should turn the dial down and listen for a click?

    Fermentation fridge problem

Essentially yes. Didn't get as low as 6 before cutting off today.

    Fermentation fridge problem

Inkbird. I disconnected the fridge from the controller and plugged it directly to the mains. The inkbird is currently just monitoring the temp not controlling the setup. I've used a Thermopen and an Arduino based thermometer to verify it isn't a dodgy inkbird read.

    Fermentation fridge problem

Excuse me if wrong forum. My fermentation chamber (an 18 month old fridge) isn't working right. If I switch it off at the wall and leave it for a while it will kick in fine and bring the temp down. Problem is it won't ever kick back in again unless I do the same shut down and wait thing. Any...

How to measure Specific Gravity using a Homebrew Hydrometer

Chase Instruments in the US calibrate theirs to the top of the miniscus so it may be unusual but not wrong.

    Hello from Inverness

No worries. This forum is by far the best place to post and research, just often I find it hard to find local stuff so that is all. Just hoping to compliment the local community of brewers that exist here.

    Hello from Inverness

Hi Jonathan. I'm based in North Kessock. Hoping to get a wee homebrew social scene developed in the Highlands.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

A terrible bottle of red wine has been opened to celebrate first AG brew day. Morrisons best Burgundy, nasty. I'm not objecting to red wine, just this one.
