    Grain prices creeping up.

I can't comment on minch, as we've never dealt with them. All I can tell you is our price (from probably the largest maltsters in the UK) and it'll broadly be the same for craft breweries in the UK (and some home brew suppliers I'd have thought) . We're each given a craft brewery manager who set...

    Grain prices creeping up.

Back of the fag packet stuff here, so Agentgonzo feel free to help me out on the maths. Our new 2023 prices (from a well known maltster and in line with most out there give or take) equate to £25.16 per 25kg sack of pale malt, delivered straight to the brewery door. This doesn't include the...

Evidently it was pint time before I started writing. £300 per tonne, £7.50 a sack up since last year. Glad someone's on the ball.

    Grain prices creeping up.

This may help? (sorry if something similar has already been posted) Small Highland brewery here and our malt prices have increased by £300 (edited from £30) a tonne from last year, so that's 30p a kilo. Talking to a few breweries and brewery suppliers (all over The UK) that seems to be across...

    Brand of malts

I got talking to a hb supplier earlier in the week and they told me pale ale has gone up by at least 30p a kilo across the board. Speciality malt by a tad more. So that's about a £7.50 increase a sack :/ And I'm in the Highlands so there's a delivery surcharge too :/

Wasn't it Lalbrew Voss he was using? Didn't catch the whole video, but I'm sure I heard "Kveik" in there somewhere.

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Not often I get to The Big Smoke. But whilst in Tennents bar in Glasgow, the first thing I go for isn't a pint in T. This WAS an Oakham Citra. The pint of T will be have to wait...

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Major diacetyl in my latest batch of home brew, so it's undrinkable. I'll leave it a while to see how it goes, but in the meantime I nipped down to Perth. Fine indeed

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

Lidl's Steam Beer whilst I'm waiting on my two kegs to condition. I'm terrible at planning :/ it's not a bad session ipa, but I can taste the hop extract. At least they state "hop extract" in the ingredients list. I'll get used to it...
