    King keg outside

Do you think moving it inside and out will make a difference to the quality of the beer or is that just for the fermentation stage?

    King keg outside

Hi, With temps being low now. Would it be advantageous to put a king keg outside to absorb some co2? The KK has been conditioning for around a week inside and the pressure is around 5psi. Obviously the temp outside might fluctuate between night and day so I was just thinking to throw it out...

    Protein Clumps

Its been in the FV for about 10 days. I usually leave it 2 weeks but the airlock has had no activity for around 3 days. Lid feels like little or no co2 was produced overnight. The sample I took tastes great.

    Protein Clumps

Hi, Just opened my fermentor to take a gravity reading and saw this. Pretty sure its not an infection. Gravity is 1012 from 1044. Yeast was us-05. Just for my education, is this protein clumps or would it still be the krausen falling through? Feel I am running the risk of the lid police...

    Dusty from the FV

I did use the recirculation pipe during the mash which dropped the wort about 5 inches on top of the grain as the batch was only small.

    Dusty from the FV

Hi All, After brewing my first all grain batch with the 30L brew monk my beer is now ready for bottling. I have done a basic bitter brew with Ekg as the late addition hops. Grainfather predicted an OG of 1046 but mine turned out at 1040, the FG now is around 1010 which was predicted by the...

    First AG recipe advice

Going to have a go at this tonight, just found out the wort cooler connections are broken. Will the plastic fermenter be good to hold the wort at 90+ degrees? Untill i can chill in a good old fashioned ice bath? Only going to be around 15 litres

    First AG recipe advice

I have never brewed to 15l in the fermenter, its just the regular 23l fermentor bucket, will this be too much head space?

    First AG recipe advice

Hi, Just made the leap to all grain after purchasing a brew monk all in one. Could do with a bit of advice on what to start out brewing, my original idea was to just do a simple SMaSH with the MO and a hop. Maybe could squeeze three 15l batches out of this? I have brewing software with the...

    How much hops?

At flameout, are we talking dry hopping or just dumping it in then taking it out after cooling. I will be using hop bags for this beer so i guess hop utilisation will differ.
