    Abv of honey

    Found a table for working out the ABV of LME 1.5kg (3.3lb) : 3kg (6.6lb) = OG 1.050 = ABV 4.78 I am having no luck though working out what the sugar content or what the abv is for honey. Looking to add honey to 3kg of LME to achieve around abv 6-7% for a ginger beer.Could someone work this...

    LME to DME weight conversion

    Guys, gonna mix a batch of ginger beer that needs 4kg of DME,,So!, i got a good deal on 4.5kg of LME.My question is how much of the LME will i need to use for the intended recipe that needed 4kg of DME..is there a difference ,weight for weight?.

    submersable thermostat heater

    Just bought one of them submersable fish tank heaters from ebay..It will not stay on at the desired fermenting temp of 21c.The thermo kicks in and switches it off after 5 mins or so.I have to turn it on full which is 30c .Its been on now for 4 hours in the water bath at this supposed temp...

    Does anyone know the shelf life of wine tannin.I have two jars of youngs wine tannin dated 04 and 09..they both look and smell ok although i though i would post and ask if anyone would know.I am thinking that tannin has nothing that would go off time..

    On the back of the youngs dried active yeast jar is states to use 1 level tea spoon full for 1 gallon...what would i use for my 5 gallon wort?.surley not 5 tea spoons?.just think this is a little much although i could be wrong.

    Glycerin in ginger beer

    Has anyone much experience adding Glycerin to a 5gal wort?...upon research i worked out it could take anywhere from 150mil to 400mil depending on taste..i just want to give it decent body and take away the water texture that alot of people talk about regarding ginger beer.
