Anyone brewed a bitter wheat beer?

Had a very bitter American wheat beer at my local the other night and it was bloody lovely. Was quite strange, had the bitterness of an IPA but the look, mouthfeel and taste of a wheat. Going to have a go at one. Any wheat beer I've brewed in the past have been in the 10-20 IBU range but was...

    Stocking up for the winter!

I took a bit of a break from brewing over the summer. I couldn't get the temp in my brewing room below 20c and with all the nice weather didn't tend to be home much on my days off anyway. But with temperatures dropping I thought it was time to start stocking up for the long, dark Scottish...

    Best Beer in the World

Any tips on getting a more creamy Guinness like head? My stouts have always been lacking a good creamy head, I know Guinness use some nitrogen injection or something but anyway to replicate that at home?

    Best Beer in the World

know its a mass-produced, commercial beer but my vote for best beer in the world is black nectar, Guinness. I must have tried 500+ different beers in my lifetime but none have surpassed a perfectly pulled pint of the black stuff :drink:

Would never have guessed it was a kit, assumed it was AG as it really was a cracking pint, very surprised. I was never able produce anything half as good when I done kits. Well done to you sir, superbly executed :thumb:

    Free Bottles: Fife Scotland

I have loads of 500ml brown glass beer bottles, I have been collecting from my resturant. I have far more than I can use so if anyone wants some they are free if you can come collect them in St. Andrews. They have the original labels on them and will need a bit of a clean but hey they're free...

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed it. Apologies for the state of the bottle with multiple old labels on it but was already past the deadline when I got back from holiday so rushed it off. Your nose and taste-buds are spot on, chocolate & espresso beer. There's loads of chocolate malt...
