    Ooni Pizza ovens

    Finally got an oven (Karu 12g)and tried it last night with wood . Fir a First attempt wasnt bad albeit we bought ready made dough and sauce . Next time we will make our own dough(Any recipes appreciated ) the sauce was Mutti which was good so may stick with that for the time being

    Gas Ball Lock

    I changed all all o rings on the posts but they were still leaking . I order Kegland plastic ones as I need spares and am presently changing out anything that can perish as I have spares . Hopefully its just the time I left them while nit using them .

    It may have metal on metal now, not sure as I had one of the first via EU . It was the only thing I didn't like about it at the time. Though now its gone to the Fermenter Graveyard in The Sky due to no fault of its own ,I only have Allrounders so thats what I use when the time comes to replace...

    That was my only issue with the Apollo Snubnose . I ended up using Allrounders more because of it .

    Was looking at the V3 Malt Pipe as an upgrade now I am back brewing as I still hate the silicone rings etc and especially the clean up . So the question is it worth the the price (Asronomical) or should I just save my money for something else at a later date ie as my G30 is years old but still...

    Was at friends during the week and had a homemade pizza from his Gozney Roccbox and was sold on buying my own but having now looked at them do I go for Ooni Karu Multifuel or the Roccbox do all you pizza makers have any views ?

    Yes all stored in cool dry conditions . The kits are ALL Grain kits ,luckily all the yeast is mostly in date and all Hops were stored in a fridge so going for it tomorrow . Only my time and a bit of leccy to lose. Glad to be back .

    CML

    I had started to buy my malt in bulk . So will still use CML for Hops and Yeast as their service is excellent as are the prices. Think I may take a trip to Crafty Maltsters as their Pale Malt is still £27.50 for 25kg never used it so don't know what its like though but at that price worth a punt.
