    sorry if this has been covered, I did do a search. I have decided to stick some of my cider into a bag in a box. I have the bags but have come across a slight problem.... How do I get the cider in? Do I just pull the tap off? I know, daft question.... :D

    Ritchies On the Rocks, Mixed Berry Cider Review

    well have just done the final hydrometer reading for mine before putting the syrup in and it came out with a reading equivalent to 6.9%. The cider on it's own was quite pleasant too, but the smell once the syrup went in was lovely. Am looking forward to giving this one a whirl.

    I work at a student halls of residence so just help myself to the glass in the glass boxes they leave out for recycling. They arent drinking enough though! I tend to get a lot of bud bottles from them which are pretty good

    :hmm: fermentation has gone from very lively to an almost stop.... bubble rising about every 5 seconds, is it ready to move to secondary FV?

    OK so in the last half hour I have been sitting here, the top thingy has gone then a white foamy one has appeared and the bubble valve really kicking off The white stuff is now easing off again. Also the lava lamp is back and the brew is getting lighter. One of the more interesting brews to watch
