My Draft Syndicate Brochure - Comments Please

Lots of good advice and comments already here so I won't state them again. Only observation I will make is that on the flyer where you state "Sell your share". T think it is a bit open to interpretation as it comes after a line about "10L Beer per month" and it could be misinterpreted as "Sell...

    Kit Brewers.

I think Pavros hit the nail on the head, if you brew kits to the instructions then you're more likely to be disappointed. If you apply proper fermentation and conditioning times or tinker with the brew length or even with the ingredients (DME/LME, swap out or increase hops, change yeast) then...

    New Grainfather equipment release

Brewing Syndicate - do regs apply?

Interesting one this, I have played around with a similar idea for a club fundraiser and to attract new members. I thought about giving away samples rather than half/pints which limits the losses of giving away your precious homebrew for free, or alternatively charging a monthly/yearly...

    Cheshire Brew Crew

We're back! Well, to be honest we were never away, I just had no time whatsoever to post online about the club and what we were doing! Or next meetup is January 31st at Cellar Bar, Chester. 7:30pm start if you want to come down! It'll be the usual brew tasting session but with the added...

    2+2+2

The potential problem with this is that you don't give the yeast time to clean up after themselves and can 'lock in' off tastes as a result. Equally if you're going straight to warm conditioning then you run the risk of bottle bombs or at least over-carbing the beer as the yeast may not have...

    2+2+2

This is exactly what I do. 2 weeks in the FV, 2 weeks in the warm, at least 4 weeks in the cold. I also have kegs which are a more 2+2+2 routine which helps the 'X' weeks for the bottles to pass in cold conditioning without too much interference from me! Cheers DA

    How Often Are You Brewing?

A canning machine from Malt Miller? Pricey but it's certainly easier to store cans than it is glass bottles! I don't have one but it is on the wish list currently... just need to figure out a cheap/re-useable labelling solution too! Cheers DA

FOR SALE: Grainfather - complete setup (with new Connect Control box)

Afternoon all! In preparation for buying/building phase 3 of my brewery setup, and in part because of all the building work going on at my house at the moment, I have decided to sell my Grainfather. It was purchased from new in December 2016 and is in perfect working order. It comes with the...

Brew con london - a home brewing conference and expo

I agree, for the first time out I think it was a success. Definitely some tweaking to be done for next year with the presentation spaces/setup but more positives than negatives on the whole. £5 a pint was not a shock for London prices (it was £5.2 in a pub round the corner) and the...
