    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

Three weeks in the bottle and I'm loving this. Slight grape fruit taste but I kinda like it. Defo buying this one again.

    Coopers Original Stout Review

Pretty much how I made mine. I had a 454g tin of treacle but used about half, maybe two thirds. Threw a Cooper's Brew Enhancer 2 kit at it and it's come out amazing! Good luck with your's fella :drink:

First off, thanks to Scott and everyone in this thread who has added to it with tips and advice. Thanks to you buggers I'm cooking up two batches of TC :D The one is pretty standard and will be transfers to another DJ to mature for a few months. The second one is a Strawberry TC. I used...

    Coopers Original Stout Review

After just over two weeks in the FV I bottled mine today (Cooper's Stout with Cooper's Brew Enhancer 2 and half a tin of black treacle - about 250g). Batch primed with 100g of demerara and managed 40 bottles. The fermentation stopped at 1016 (from about 1048 if memory serves) so hopefully it...

    Wilko's Dark Velvet Stout

I've tried to leave as much of this un-drunk as possible but it's getting the better of me. After two weeks in the bottle it was very drinkable but had a little HB twang to it. At week four the twang has lessened and the flavours are coming through nicely. At week six or seven now(?) it's a...

    Coopers Original Stout Review

I did mine Sunday just gone with Cooper's Brew Enhancer 2 and about 250g of black treacle and I've never seen a krausen so big. Your's must be up the kitchen wall by now :D :D

    Re: Festival Razorback IPA Review

I've read nothing but good reviews about this kit so as its pay day I've ordered one. I'll brew up on Sunday (my usual brew day day) and report my findings. The Coopers Stout kit will have to wait.

    Wilko's Dark Velvet Stout

Quick update - three bottles in and it's lovely. Need to hold off and not drink the rest now.

    Wilko's Dark Velvet Stout

Sorry for the huge delay in replying. The first batch came out sour for me though everyone I gave it to loved it. On my second batch now. Two weeks in the FV with a 1kg bag of brewing sugar. Tried my first taster at two weeks and it's going down a treat though every extract home brew I've...

First Brew - Wilks Hoppy Copper Bitter

Lessons learnt. 1st brew got infected due to my stupidity and impatient nature. Sad Times. Still, its not all bad news. The Stout is bottled and conditioning and the Wherry is still bubbling away after 12 days. She slowed around day 4 due to the house being freezing but I bagged an...

    Wilko's Hoppy Copper Bitter

I hope your's turns out better than mine. The entire lot will be going down the drain when I get home from work. I tried it last night and it was just horrid. Smell was bad, taste was off, simply an awful awful pint. I had to spit out the sip I had it was that bad. I've learnt a lot from it...

Woodfordes Kits - Dunelm Mill reduced

That'll be the one. If only I looked at other posts :( Seems I was overly excited about the deal and wanted others to know. Edit - I've done the same with the Coopers Tesco deal :( Less haste - more checking.

Hey guys, I was hunting around and found Dunelm Mill are now doing home brewing equipment. They have the Woodfordes' kits reduced as an introductory offer from £20 down to £13.99. I've read nothing but good reviews for the Woodfordes' kits and at that price it aint arf bad. Links to...

Coopers Kits - Reduced at Tesco

Hey guys, Not sure if this is the place to post but I'm sure it will get moved to the right place :) http://www.tesco.com/direct/search-resu ... 4294967294 Selected Coopers kits in Tesco are currently under £10. From what I gather the Coopers kits aren't that bad so it might be worth a...

First Brew - Wilks Hoppy Copper Bitter

Its been sat in the pressure keg for near two weeks now. I took a little sample from it Thursday night and I was unimpressed. Very weak taste, light colour, just not overly nice. More than likely it still needs time and my house is like a ******* icebox right now. I'll leave it another two...
