I used to like pimping the odd barrel or two and increasing the hold pressure. Seemed like a good idea at the time... Tbf this one still does the biz

    Pimped Pressure Barrel

If I recall I manufactured them myself out of a 10mm tube. Or they may have come from a cycle pump kit I had lying around. It's been so long :/

Crossmyloof Hops in pouches are ALL CO2 flushed. O2 is drawn out and CO2 is purged in. All the hops are bought direct from Charles Farm and flushed within 24 hours. How do I know? Coz I'm the one who does it ;)

    The crossmyloof brewery yeast

Lille Saison yeast's on it's way apparently from CML. And maybe a bohemian lager, Steven said. I wonder how it's differ from the Belgian yeast? :S

    The crossmyloof brewery yeast

Just had word back from Mark the head honcho at CML. I asked him about the source of the yeast and the yeast lab and he says they get their yeast from SPL_international, based in Ellesmere Port. Apparently they make brew yeast for numerous brands. He also said that a lager and saison yeast...

    The crossmyloof brewery yeast

I find that if you're buying up to a kilo of hops (They do direct sell discounts too on their FB page) then Crossmyloof are cheaper than most places, as delivery is included. Stringybob - They're away to a beer festival in Germany, so shut up shop until next Wednesday - Here's their facebook...

    Prosecco beer?

Tried Sparkling wine/Champagne yeast with pale malt before and it won't eat all that maltose leading to an ester banana flavour. More Belgian than italian if you know what I mean;) But a good wine like beer I did (by accident) was a simple SMaSH of pale malt and Nelson Sauvin. I use CML pale...

ANOTHER new range of dried yeasts

It was the ferment temp In a chamber. It fermented out is 10 days or so. I then increased to 21c to finish it off and bottle conditioned. I lagered for 8 weeks and is a pretty good brew ;)

    Blackberry melomel help needed

hi. I've seen cheaper honey having potassium sorbate preservatives in them. If so then it's not going anywhere I'm afraid. I've made that mistake not thinking sorbate would go anywhere near honey. Could be wrong though and as others have said it could just be low foaming. I suppose a hydrometer...
