    Hot side aeration

Put it this way, when I asked regarding HSA during a brewery tour I was told that HSA is nothing to worry about to the Home Brewer, leave it to the big breweries to worry about. This was as we watched a copper be filled from the mash tun, there was quite a bit of splashing and he wasn't...

Rhythm and booze home brew bottles

Not a fan of the Barnsley Brew Company beers to be fair, I think they should spend more time on making their beer better rather than putting their effort into poor marketing techniques.

An informal look around Ossett Brewery

That video is brill, did you pick up any hints or tips whilst walking round?

    Hot side aeration

Personally I wouldn't worry about HSA, what you are doing will not make a difference to your beer in the end. :thumb:

    Irish Moss... Taste and clarity

Same thing, protofloc is like a concentrated version, you only need to use half a tab per 23l batch though.

    Cloudy with no head

Cloudy beer takes time to clear, do you chill before serving? If so then it could be chill haze. Head retention can also come with time, however wheat malt can help with head retention.

    Irish Moss... Taste and clarity

No impact on taste, I only use 3g per 23l batch.

    For history buffs.

Love it, interesting how Central Europe was a mish mash of occupied states for the majory of the past 1000 years. Also, looking at how long the Otteman Empire, Roman Empire and even the Soviet Union lasted a hell of a lot longer than Nazi Germany occupying neighbouring countries. It was like a...

Spray Malt- Con of the century?

Depends on what you want to try, there might be a one can kit which you want to try but want to make it as nice as possible. The Coopers kits for example, they are only one can but a lot of people love them, so why not try and make them in the best way possible?

Spray Malt- Con of the century?

As far as I'm aware, Muntons have always sold their spray malt I'm 500g bags. The brew kit enhancer comes in a kilo bag, but that has 500g Dextrose and 500g DME. But even at £7.50 for DME and say £10 for a one can kit, it's still under 45p a pint!
