    Co2 expiry dates

My tank is nearly empty and I was checking my new spare tank which has been in my garage for about a year and noticed the expiry date on the sticker on the tap is June 2023. It's a 22.4kg tank. Is the co2 still ok?

Plea for decent pubs in Northern Ireland

As the large commercial breweries have most of the pubs tied up with the usual pish, I'm asking all NI residents to name any decent pubs they know of and their location. Thanks in advance.

    Overrated beers

Unfortunately here in NI, the large commercial breweries have all the pubs tied up to sell the same old pish-Harp, Tennents, ud, Coors, Carling, Smithwicks, Rockshore and. Guinness is the best of a bad bunch. The only time I can get a decent pint is when I'm in Belfast or Derry.

    Geterbrewed?

Same here. I used to be able to collect from the farm shop but they stopped that a few years ago.

    Subscription services

I've been gifted about 4 boxes as presents from different companies and have never felt the need to re-order. They've all been very bland. If I buy any beer, it's Sierra Nevada from Asda on promo-8 cans for £9.

How important is the type of yeast?

I've been ag for around 3 years now and it still sounds daunting, moving from dried yeast to liquid yeast and harvesting yeast etc. So much easier with dried and I'm happy with all my brews so far. I'm aware I'm missing out but I'm content.

Corny kegs liquid disconnect not connecting

Posts look fine. I haven't seen a gas disconnect like that before but I've only been using cornies for around 3 years.

See if the posts have horizontal marks on them. Only the gas post should be marked I can't make out from the pic. Post a pic of each post so I can see the sides of them

    A simple lager

I've decided to try a lager after many ales. What's a single ag recipe to get started? The only lager I'd drink in a pub would be Heineken, so something in that style would be good. I can see many recipes online but a recommendation would help. Cheers
