    Brewferm Grand Cru high FG

I take the point on spray malt but fancied trying it. The FG was steady at 1.022 so I bottled in PET bottles just in case. It's got 2 weeks in the warming cupboard then out to my now chilly garage and we'll see what it's like at Christmas. Or maybe just the one sample bottle for my birthday in 6...

    Brewferm Grand Cru high FG

My last two brews were Brewferm Tripel and a grand Cru. The Tripel came out at 8.4% and four months down the line is clear, tasty and potent as I only had 500ml bottles and its not easy to leave a bit for later is it? Now for the Grand Cru. I used spray malt instead of sugar and it went berserk...

    Brewferm Triple

Bottled mine into Coopers PET plastic 500ml bottles. FV was down at 1012 which gave an ABV of 8.4% which I thought pretty astounding. That "home brew taste"

Thanks for that guys, all very interesting and in many ways confusing. The Olde Home Wrecker brewed quite quickly, my brew cupboard s at a steady 23-24 C, but was as per the instructions at 6 days. Secondary was a week and I waited a fortnight before sampling. The taste is good but there's a...

    That "home brew taste"

I'm a returning home brewer and am a bit cloudy on a few things. I hope I can get some answers over the next few months. First off, I recently made a batch of Milestone Olde Home Wrecker (an excellent kit) which ended up 4.6%, clear as a bell, lightly carbonated but with a slight malty...

    Hello

Hi, just a few words to introduce myself. I'm a born again newbie in that I used to make homemade wine ages ago with my parents and made a couple of batches of beer too. I've started again after about 16 years and feel the need for a bit of support from the HB Community. Recently made a batch...
