Sounds good, my syphon hose is kinked to hell after storage so I need a new one.

    Why choose a beer kit

Space and time. Trouble is I share a 2 bed terrace with a mate of mine and we've both got numerous hobbies which take up so much space. So I basically get a bit of the front room to store brewing equipment, let alone the completed brews. It's taken a while to free up this much space so I've...

    corny keg.

New or used? Depends really, I'm looking into the same thing myself. You'll need a corny (obviously), disconnects for gas and beer, some beer/ gas line, a tap and obviously a bottle of Co2 and regulator. One or two shops will sell you a "Just add Co2" type kit for about £160 I believe or you...

    The traditional christmas cook

It just isn't Christmas unless I'm half cut shouting in a half mad frenzy for someone to get me more chef fuel (wine) in the late morning. Then I sit down and eat so much I'm completely bone sober and ready for round 2 of christmas merriment in the afternoon.

    Just ordered my DE razor

To be fair I'm betting you're more careful with the cut throat than the safety razor though

    FANCY A PINT?

If I wasn't moving house I'd love to, maybe in the new year.

    Homebrew pub??

I actually know one pub which does sell homebrew and brew it on the premises, the landlord apparently had a ******* nightmare opening it though, more red tape than a red tape factory on redtapeman day.

    Just been given an allotment

I was on the waiting list for 3 years, got the letter through saying "you have an allotment" the week before I moved away for 3 years, now I'm back, time to wait another 3 years...

    Just ordered my DE razor

Honestly never thought about the adams apple being a problem myself. I had a lot of problems around my mouth, my best advice is to get close to the mirror and really examine what you're doing with the razor in terms of grip, angle and stroke. Go slow with it and adjust accordingly.

being a dad is hard work :(

Being a parent you can't always be a friend too. You've got to remain in charge and ensure that your kid knows it isn't ok to seek attention/ act out etc.

    Free beer.

I'd probably move faster if there was a risk of beer spillage than if there was free money laying about. Spillage is lickage after all.

    Just ordered my DE razor

£130 lighter I've picked up a Kent shaving brush and some premium sandalwood shaving soap. (Drunken purchase) Good lord, it's so nice. Beats the hell out of a boar brush and cheap soap. Also got an alum block, loving that, my skin was so damn soft after.

using AJ to brew a kit

I've seen people do it to make superstrength brews before with varying results.

    Christmas!!! Bring it on!!

Baked the cake, made the pud. All I need to do it preorder the turkey and ask the greengrocer about veg and I'll worry about the rest later on, don't do all this months of shopping, I go out and buy all the extra booze, all the food and all the presents a week or so before the date. Why be...

    World faces Global Wine Shortage

Ahh, I'll be fine, I brew plenty of wine. It's the brandy I'm worried about!

    nice and lump free mash

Rough pubs maybe, I've certainly never had instant mash at a pub.

    sign of old age

I'm 22 and do all those things, I dread to think what will happen when I get older. Not to mention I make noises as I get up and sit down, got a back like an old man.

Brew Length vs Brew Frequency + a Happy Liver

I can put away 40 pints over the course of a weekend (friday, saturday, sunday), but I don't so much any more, even for a 22 year old it's slightly excessive. I give a few bottles away to grandparents and that, my dad drinks it. Wine especially most of my family will drink.

    nice and lump free mash

You could use a ricer or a mill but a decent masher will do you proud just the same. Cheap ones, not so much. Provided you've cooked your potatoes sufficiently, and they are flourly spuds, with a decent masher you shouldn't get lumps. Just mash well, add butter and cream, then whisk on the...
