    Best brewing software

Hi Doc, No ads for a start, just like this forum used to be. All the normal features, just do a lot of research and then a lot more, or team up with someone who knows what brewing is about. As a novice you will do well if you succeed, but I wish you well. S P.S. why not write an ap thing...

    Sparge Arm Build

Yes like joe says a lot have gone and start with small holes ;-) If its not rotating you may need to turn it manually at intervals. Mine is a square split with a central pipe with the feed in the middle if you see what I mean. S

Just remembered. First bottle or two were tricky then it would settle down and work well. Also made a beer gun, but with no purge, my thinking was that the beer pushed all the air/ co2 out, so what was the point and with only a small head space left no harm would be done? Never left bottles...

Proper Counter Pressure Bottle Filler Design

My this is an old one. I made one of these and it was a great sucess. Bit crab like to use but could be done. I did intend to "fix it in place" using my bench capper. Mine had two small valves at the top, and a compression tee above the bung, to achieve the seal on the top nut. I drilled out...

    Lagering

I'm sorry to tell you that you're information is somewhat less than correct! The Czech brewers lager for one week for each degree Plato, so a 12 Plato beer (1.048 ) gets 12 weeks lagering, a 10 Plato (1.040) beer gets 10 weeks. Extended lagering such as 6 months is just plain mad. 4 weeks is not...
