    planning on brewing tommorrow using some yeast i washed and stored in jars last week, trouble is i've got no spraymalt to make a starter with so was thinking of taking it out of fridge for a few hours and pitching direct ,is this a no no or does it just mean a longer lag time :wha:

    been using mine for around 2 years now also from h and g , only things to note are try to drape an extra blanket over it just to help it retain heat and i've just had to replace tap threads eventually went but its had some use so no complaints at all :thumb:

    7 days in fv is usually ok for me especially with s-04 [used to leave it 5 days with no probs] fg was down to 1010 , gonna leave it another week then do a side by side test 22l went in barrell 5l in bottles
