100L Blichmann Fermenators and Pilot plant

A stunning deal. If I had a garage I would drive across the country for it all.

    This christmas brew I done

Me and misses finished our Kristmas Kracka. Don't brew a 10% orangy, cinammony thing when you have a low stock of other beers :)

How much beer have you got?

All in all about 50 litres of various beers and one more will be undertaken this weekend. Stocking up for Krimbo :)

    Hoppy Christmas

I brewed a christmas ale last year that I found almost undrinkable. I have brewed 11.8% IPA's that taste smooth and easily go down, but this 9% xmas brew tasted really alcoholic and thin. I noticed my next door neighbour loved it so he ended up drinking pretty much all 9 litres. This year I...

My first all grain brew 1 gallon!

It was a couple of Brooklyn kits that began my journey into AG. I went 1 gallon batches, then 2 gallon batches, then plastic 3 vessel setup 5 gallon batches, then corny kegs and C02 for storage serving, then stainless 3 vessel setup and now a Braumeister. Enjoy your journey :)

Like other chaps have said.. you can make some rancid nasty stuff at bottling time and taste heaven 4 months later. This happened to 2 brews I made in May. They were horrible in July, horrible in August, OK in September and now are fantastic. If it's got a tang still when going into he bottles...

    3 tier system for sale

Hi all, Due to the happy acquisition of a Braumeister, I no longer need my 3 tier system that was perfect for 5 gallon batches. The 50l mash tun is the jewel in the crown - it's this one from Hop and Grape with the Sparge Arm and Ball Valve which retails at around 260 quid...

Anybody thinking of starting a microbrewery???

Good job Coxy !! How many barrels will you produce per month? I plan to decide next year... that's when I either convert my wooden summer house to brick (with water and waste facilities so could look at a license) or I keep on enjoying the hobby for a a year or two longer and decide further...
