Wilkinson's Elderflower wine (6 bottle) Review

Oh, and Bobsbeer, if I was going to increase the quantities to make a 30 bottle brew, I know I'd need 5l WGJ and 5l Apple juice - How much dried elderflowers would you recommend? I've seen once recipe that recommends about 15g for a 1 gallon, and another that suggests 50g for 1 gallon... Bit of...

Wilkinson's Elderflower wine (6 bottle) Review

This was the first kit I did too, and I bottled it the other day. Didn't do a SG reading because at the time I didn't have a trial jar. The instructions say to set it going and top up after 3 days, which I did (it was then I took the reading which I've recorded as 1.02 and I suspect is wrong...

    Clearing (after adding finings) question...

I'm making my first wine (from a kit, so following their instructions). I've added the stabilizer and then (the next day) added finings to let the wine clear, which is doing the trick. My question is: Can i now remove the airlock (as it doesn't seem to be glubbing anymore) to use for making a...

    Hi there :)

I guess it's not a 5 gallon kit.. 6 bottles is the one :) As for buying online; I'm perfectly happy to for smaller items. It was the cost of postage for the Beer kit that pushed the price up so much. I shall take a look at what you recommended. Thanks :)

    Hi there :)

Hi everyone. I've been reading this forum for the past few days. My dad was an avid home brewer and a few years ago he gave me all his equipment. In that time I made one beer kit (Nelsons Revenge), which was very easy to make, but still quite expensive with postage added on. I always meant to...
