I have always used the kit yeast but some use other yeasts, the kit will probably say rack at 1.010, I usually miss that target so end up racking after 2 weeks. is it a 7 day kit? just make sure you sanitise everything
the one im doing now has finished at.998 wouldnt go any lower, taking a while to clear,
with yours you could make another batch and blend it to get rid of some of the sweetness, also i heard adding a touch of acid will take the sweetness taste down.
I got some tube the right size for the bottler, cut a small piece off for the tap end, fit that at one end of tube and bottler at other. Works a treat for me
Yes they need to be layed down Jim so the cork won't dry out. My lhbs has stopped selling wineright and favorite corks due to the amount of complaints he was getting.
