    tried a few last night wow opened them and it shot out the bottle like a fountain lol so need to be chilled before opening some of the sweetness has gone so a little more bitter very nice though and no major hangover even though its 6.5 % , only got 7 left :-( which im going to try and ignore...

    opened one on Saturday its got a nice psshht when opening and a nice head that lasts , starts of with a little sweetness which is probably the maple syrup i primed with then a nice bitterness , going to have a couple tonight so ill report if its any better but well happy with it so far and the...

    i did mine with 900g of honey and 300g of dark muscavdo sugar i put only half the hop powder in though as i thought it a little over powering in the last one of these i did , the smells while fermenting were absolutely amazing honey comb crunchy s and banana milkshakes lol , the honey hasnt...

    been steady at 1010 for a couple of days so ill be bottling at the weekend very drinkable and reminds me of murphys a bit dry n bitter but much stronger lol and a very nice mouth feel not watery at all , not much honey smell about it now which is a bit disappointing but ill get over it , going...

    down to 1011 which makes it approx 5.8 ABV , still bubbling away but slower so prolly come down a little more , still smells really nice and tastes very good even though its young :grin:

    the initial krausen up went down yesterday and a second one came up last night not as dense though more light and bubbly lol now smells like mix of crunchy bars and chocolate banana milkshake , cant wait to try this one :D

    just checked on mine and its taken off like a rocket lol a good 9 inches of foam has formed overnight , sitting between 18 and 20 degrees :) smells even better today hehe :drink:

    just set this one away again this time i used 900g of honey and 300g of dark muscavado sugar , OG 1055 so if it finishes at 1010 like the last one it should turn out at 6/6.5 ABV smells very nice indeed :drink:

    ill be doing my second of these this week im going to do it with some honey added might throw some dark muscavdo in as well as ive some in the cupboard that needs used up , should make it an interesting brew :drink:

    got mine tucked away for crimbo but had a one for quality control purposes last night and the smell and taste isnt to far from Guinness foreign extra stout , prolly put another on next week might add some muscavado sugar and see what happens :cheers:

    bottled up today after 3 days at 1010 , did 30 bottles 10 with carb drops 10 white sugar and 10 with muscavado sugar to see which will be best :thumb: , now the long wait lol

    day 6 now at 1010 and still bubbling away lol looks like it may well get that 5% :thumb:

    day 4 and down to 1014 already , looking good , tasting nice , ive a bit of a sore throat but id say for me tastes better than the coopers , temps been a git to keep steady but seems to have coped with low 17/18c to 20c very well :) , still bubbling so ill leave another day or so and check again .

    i only drink stout so im looking for one thats a bit like Guinness original with that bite , i like a bit off bitterness i did the coopers but find them a bit sweet for my palate , dont mind the chocolate apart from the Mrs says it smells nice lol so may have to hide it , it does have a lovely...

    sorry bud didnt mean to jump the gun on ya :doh: there was nothing up for a couple of days so i just put up yesterday , it was the first taste from the og sample which was bitter to my taste but it does smell very nice not sure if mine will last two months though lol , did you get the taste of...

    sitting between 18/20c nice foaming ice cream head (4/5 inch ) after 1 day so impressed the coopers took two days to even start , can smell the hops but not as strong does smell very nice though and you can deffo pick up chocolate , looking forward to this one :thumb:

    just set this away , instructions are a bit vague on the box dosnt give a temp for pitching yeast so had to go with around 24 c instructions say add hop sachet then yeast which i did and leave to stand 4/6 days between 18/20c( prolly leave it in fv for 10 days though before bottling) then stand...

    lets know how it goes mine wont arrive till Tues/Weds i see it has hop extract in never used that before , are you adding anything to it or just the kit as per instructions :)

    going to order mine sometime today and hopefully be brewing early next week hopefully it,ll be a nice drink :pray: just gonna do the kit with no extras
