    more accurate pid controllers

    My diy arduino pid controller can control to within +- 0.05C on an overnight test (though a few bumps of 0.15C). Though of course it all depends on proper calibration and tuning of the system.

    Yeah, you want a 4.7k ohm resistor if using that temperature sensor.

    I'm in the process of making one of these kits. Have to say I agree with what you're saying. Took ages for the fermenting to start. It's now been just under two weeks, and SG reading is still falling VERY SLOWLY (now at 1.014). The ginger taste is VERY mild and so far it seems very sweet...

    Blackberries up here seem to be ready for picking now :) will be out this weekend I think. Got about 3kg last year. First time making wine though this year. I don't have any demijohns though so would 5I bottles of water (which would cost next to nothing) be fine to ferment in?

    Still waiting for the blackberrys to rippen up here in Glasgow. Looks like there will be a big harvest this year though :D Just started homebrewing this year, so this will be my first suit wine! Steven
