    Syrup to carbonate?

All i did was read the label, it says sugar 64.9g per 100ml, i didnt plan on using the whole bottle? Thats why i put up about the co2 value and sugar required to gain that but the calc says table, corn or dme, so im not sure which value to use?

Disregard instructions, its ready when its ready. Wait til its stopped bubbling and test it, if the reading is low then crack on, an extra week wont harm it.

    Syrup to carbonate?

Hi, got some tc on the go, ready to bottle, realised i dont have any sugar in to carb with! I do have a 440ml bottle of Lowicz raspberry syrup. Would this work? If i put it in my bottling bucket then rack my 22L of tc over it, stir then bottle? Do i just work out the sugar in the bottle...

Attempting a Saison from a Pils kit.

Yep, same flavour, could be biased and fuzzy headed after 24hrs apart, but nice still! Got a free fridge to condition the ale, plugged it in, relay blew, replaced it and the fridge started smoking and tripped the house power! Looks like im going to have to pay for one :( need one asap as loft...

Attempting a Saison from a Pils kit.

Working in wales, found an awesome pub in chester, had a bottle of dupont, came home today, first thing i did was open a bottle of my unconditioned brew #1 and was surprised at how similar they were. Thouroghly enjoyed it.

Attempting a Saison from a Pils kit.

Racked tonight and added 45g styrian goldings and 24g saaz, wasnt going to add the saaz but its all that was left so bunged it in. Really nice golden colour to this, brew #1 was still quite cloudy at this stage, yeast must be better at cleaning up. Will leave the hops in 4-6 days then rack and...

Once they've both had a few weeks to mature, know they will get better over a longer period, but should give an idea.

Down to 1.002, odd bubble now and then, test jar was amber and crystal clear, taste is much bolder, strong spicy note, in other words, cracking.

What are people batch priming their wherry with for bottles? Got about 20L, would 80g table sugar be about right?

Good to see others trying one too! Down to 1.004 tonight, tasted very similar to #1, but a bit more body and stronger flavour.

Well it has finally been bottled! It stayed cloudy, well not cloudy, its just not clear, but the taste of the dregs, wow, its light, peppery, almost a slight spice. Ive ordered a few saisons from an online beer shop, but im aaving those for direct comparison when brew one is ready to drink...
